God's Holy Days
In the beginning, God created...
It says it was without form and was void, but it was not without a plan. God has had a plan from the very beginning. He created His creation for His creation. He created in such a way that His creation would long after Him, would want to find Him, and would work to do so. It is clear that God wanted to create in such a way that His very nature would be revealed in everything that was created.
On the third day of creation, He created light. This light was established to separate time frames in order for life to be able to track and monitor the passing of time. In Genesis 1:14, God says that He create light be a sign for seasons [עונות - mo'ed]. This word, translated here as season, is translated in other portions of the bible as Holy Day, Holy Season, or High Season/Day. In Leviticus 23 this word is used as God's Holy Days or Sabbaths.
All of God's Holy Days have many meanings. It is clear to see the Historical meaning in the days. But, these days also have meaning as they were fulfilled through the life and Jesus the Christ. As we walk toward a time when Christ will come again, these days have prophetic meaning to them as well.
This section will be centered around exploring the deeper meaning of God's Holy Days and what they mean historically, Christologically, and prophetically.
We here are Christian Steps believe that God's Holy Days are relevant to all Christians today. When we first look into them, they may seem distant, ancient, and "Non"Christian. We believe that as you look into them, you will discover they are as beautiful today as they have ever been and understanding them, helps you understand your Savior Jesus just a little bit more.
